The work behind AstravaQuant
From following markets to studying what moves them.
I’m Troy Pulli, the founder and researcher behind AstravaQuant. I earned a B.S. in Finance from Niagara University and began following financial markets around 2017. By 2019, the work had become more serious: studying stocks and digital assets, then looking more closely at the macroeconomic conditions surrounding them.
Early losses and emotional decisions made one point clear: reacting to headlines or conviction was not a process. That pushed me toward the structure behind a market move: trend, momentum, volatility, liquidity, and the way conditions can shift from one regime to another. The goal was never to find a single signal that solves markets. It was to build a repeatable way to weigh evidence when the environment is changing.
AstravaQuant grew out of that work through sustained study, model development, and consistent publishing. The research evaluates market regimes, studies macro context alongside systematic signals, and focuses on the strength and limits of the available evidence. It covers the markets I follow most closely, including digital assets and Treasury yields.
I also work as a mortgage loan officer in Western New York. That work gives my research into interest rates, Treasury yields, and risk a practical connection to the financial decisions people make every day, while AstravaQuant remains an independent research project.
